Community Partner Profile: Jeremiah Program
July 31, 2025 | Written by
Since 2018, Hope Blooms has had the privilege of partnering with Jeremiah Program, an organization working to break the cycle of poverty for single mothers and their children.
By supporting moms in earning college degrees, providing early childhood education, safe housing, and leadership development, Jeremiah Program surrounds families with the tools and support to thrive. What makes their work so special is the belief that every mom is the author of her own story—and that community, dignity, and opportunity can rewrite futures.
Hope Blooms has joined this journey through the delivery of almost 600 bouquets helping JP moms celebrate milestones like Mother’s Day, graduation and move-in days. These bouquets carry more than beauty—they represent hope, affirmation and a reminder that each mom is seen, valued and worthy. Many moms have shared that this is the first flower bouquet they have ever received.
One mom shared:
“The flowers made our first day feel warm and special. They reminded me that we’re not alone on this journey.”
We’re honored to support the incredible families at Jeremiah Program and help nurture a community where kindness and connection are at the heart of transformation.

Tell us about your organization and who you serve?
Jeremiah Program’s mission is to disrupt the cycle of poverty for single mothers and their children, two generations at a time. We believe that when a mother invests simultaneously in her personal and professional goals and the education of her children, she can re-author her family’s outcomes and act as a change agent within her community.
We walk alongside these moms as they pursue associate’s or bachelor’s degrees—providing our core pillars of college access and career support through one-on-one coaching, quality early childhood education through our onsite Child Development Center for kids ages birth to five, access to safe and affordable housing, empowerment and leadership training to build confidence and self-worth, and a supportive community that extends to their years as alumna as well.
What makes your facility or organization special?
What makes our approach unique is our deep commitment to serving two generations at once—honoring the expertise and lived experiences of each mom. Every family’s journey through Jeremiah Program is personalized, with mothers setting their own goals and leading the way as the architects of their own solutions. We surround both mother and child with a supportive community, educational opportunities, safety, and sustained investment.
What kind of impact do you see Hope Blooms having on your residents/clients/staff?
Hope Blooms has a truly meaningful impact on the families we serve. We’ve been honored to partner with them as a bouquet recipient, especially during milestone celebrations like Mother’s Day, Graduation, and apartment move-ins. These beautiful arrangements do more than brighten a space — they affirm dignity, worth, and hope. Many of the moms we work with have shared that this was the first time they’ve ever received flowers. For them, the bouquet isn’t just a kind gesture — it symbolizes a new beginning, a fresh chapter, and a moment of being seen and celebrated. These small but powerful acts of kindness can uplift spirits and create lasting emotional resonance. Hope Blooms helps us nurture a culture of care and celebration, and we’re so grateful for the joy and warmth they bring to our community.
Do you have a favorite memory or story from a flower delivery?
Recently, a mom moved into her new home at Jeremiah Program and received a bouquet from Hope Blooms. She shared, “Receiving the bouquet when we moved in meant so much more than just a kind welcome—it was a symbol of hope, new beginnings, and the kindness of others. Moving here with my son is a big step for both of us, and this new place represents a fresh start, a chance to go back to school, and
build a better future for our family. The flowers made our first day here feel warm and special. They reminded me that we’re not alone on this journey, and that we’re stepping into a supportive community that truly cares about us and our future. I am so beyond grateful.”
What does kindness and connection mean to your organization?
The moms and kids in our program are remarkable, and the community they build together is both powerful and inspiring. Kindness and connection are especially crucial for single parents. Being connected to others means having a neighbor who can watch your child during class, a work shift, or an important meeting. Receiving kindness means having someone you can trust and lean on when support is needed. Without community—both inside JP and beyond—life becomes exponentially harder. Being a single mom often comes with unfair stereotypes, feelings of abandonment, and challenges to self-worth. That’s why surrounding our JP moms and their children with kindness and dignity is so powerful—it helps them reclaim their sense of worth, reconnect with their dreams, and rediscover their potential.
Earning a degree requires intelligence and hard work, but it also takes confidence, motivation, and belief in oneself. We believe kindness and connection are essential tools in building that belief—empowering individuals to rise, thrive, and achieve incredible things.
How do small gestures—like flower deliveries—play a role in the wellbeing of those you serve?
We believe that even the smallest acts of kindness—offering dignity and respect—can have a profound impact. While every person needs the basics to survive—shelter, food, clothing, safety—to truly thrive requires more. Thriving means reaching for belonging, community, and connection. In that space, our families find strength, resilience, and the motivation to keep going, even when the journey is hard. Everyone could use an extra ray of sunshine now and then. Small gestures—like a bouquet on Mother’s Day—can do just that: brighten a day, lift a spirit, and remind someone that they matter.
