Meet Holly Meester, Hope Blooms Joymaker!
Karina, volunteer coordinator, shares, “Holly’s dedication to Hope Blooms shines in everything she does. She’s always ready to jump in wherever needed, with a smile that brightens the day. Her willingness to help, combined with her kindness, truly makes people feel valued and cared for. We are so grateful for the time and love she gives to Hope Blooms”.
Volunteered since: September 2023
How do you spend your time with Hope Blooms?
I assist at some events, help around the shop, process flowers (usually with the Tuesday morning Spicy Processing Princesses), attend Flower Empower events, and make bouquets for distribution at the wonderful places that we serve. Basically, I try to be useful wherever I’m needed.
What do you love most about Hope Blooms?
Honestly, there is not enough room on this page to tell you everything that I love about this organization! I love the whole mission of Hope Blooms – simple acts of kindness can change a life! I have seen that practice in action and when I see a lonely person’s face light up with joy when they receive or make a bouquet, MY heart fills with joy too! The Hope Blooms staff members are some of the very best people I know and the wonderful people I have met while volunteering here have become like an extra special family to me!
What is your favorite flower and why?
My husband has given me red Roses ever since we were engaged 34 years ago so I still love those, but I also love Alstroemeria because they are a wonderful accent flower, they last a long time, and they were in my wedding bouquet.
What value does Hope Blooms bring to the community?
Hope Blooms connects people in many ways bringing joy, laughter, and community to the volunteers and bouquet recipients alike. When bouquets are delivered, you can see smiles on faces that exude the joy that comes from being reminded that THEY MATTER!
