Meet Carol Reski, Hope Blooms volunteer joymaker
Carol Reski is an awesome go-getter volunteer! She helps with a wide variety of day-to-day tasks at Hope Blooms from processing flowers and shop chores to making arrangements and delivering, there’s no task too big or too small for Carol and her generous helping hands.
“Carol is incredible! She tenderly cares for her mother who also happens to be a bouquet recipient at Serenity Assisted Living,” said Katie Gehring, Hope Blooms operations & development manager. “Seeing them together is a special full circle moment of joy and connection.”

What value do you find volunteering with Hope Blooms?
I am impressed with how everything comes together community wide. It takes a lot of community involvement: from the founder and board members to the donations from various grocery stores and floral shops; groups of volunteers from businesses, schools and around the community, funeral and wedding arrangements donated in honor of loved ones; and arrangements from events donated. Instead of being tossed in the garbage, everything is repurposed and made into arrangements to those needing a little joy in their lives. Our goal is to make everyone that receives a bouquet of flowers know that they matter, they have not been forgotten.
