The Mission Support Coordinator at Hope Blooms plays a crucial role in supporting the organization’s mission by assisting with community engagement, managing shop operations and coordinating donation logistics. This position ensures seamless day-to-day operations and administrative functions while fostering meaningful connections with volunteers, donors and the community. Working closely with all team members, the Mission Support Coordinator supports the success of each team member and many critical aspects of the mission, ensuring that volunteers, donations and operations function efficiently to maximize impact.
Reports to: Hope Blooms Executive Director
Location: Hope Blooms, 758 34th St. N., Suite O, Fargo, ND 58102
Commitment: 40 hours per week. Some evening and weekend commitments will be required.
Classification: Full time/exempt position
Compensation: $39,520 annually, 7 PTO days and 7 paid holidays, $25 monthly cell phone stipend. No other benefits are currently offered.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Community Engagement
- Facilitate volunteer events and activities for both onsite and offsite events per week, including team building and group activities.
- Match volunteers to opportunities that align with their skills and interests.
- Collect volunteer information and manage timely and accurate entry of volunteer records into the database.
- Assist with the implementation of ongoing training for volunteers.
- Supervise and support volunteers performing weekly tasks at the Hope Blooms shop.
- Assist with volunteer recognition and appreciation initiatives to ensure volunteers feel valued.
- Communicate timely and professionally with volunteers to keep them informed about opportunities and organization updates.
Physical Shop Management & Maintenance
- Oversee daily operations of the Hope Blooms physical shop to maintain a welcoming and functional environment.
- Ensure the shop is clean, organized and stocked with necessary supplies for volunteers and donations.
- Responsible for upkeep of raised garden boxes.
- Responsible for the upkeep of the delivery van to ensure operational efficiency.
Donations & Logistics Coordination
- Receive and process all donations dropped off at the shop, including flowers, supplies and other contributions.
- Organize and manage the intake, sorting and processing of donations at the shop.
- Ensure timely processing of donation receipts and acknowledgment thank-you cards to donors.
- Maintain accurate donor records and generate mission-related reports.
- Support floral donation pick-ups and bouquet deliveries, fostering positive relationships with partner facilities.
Operations & Administration
- Answer inquiries via the organization’s general email inbox and phone calls.
- Work closely with the executive director and team to support the overall success of the team, including volunteer, donation and administrative activities.
- Assist with preparing reports, including board and grant reports.
- Assist in the implementation of services and programs for Hope Blooms.
- Ensure that all functions are carried out according to established procedures and guidelines.
- Submit all statements and invoices for payment to the executive director on a timely basis in accordance with the organization’s policy.
Fundraising, Public Relations & Other Development Activities
- Contribute to the success of Hope Blooms’ fundraising initiatives by supporting event planning, execution and attending as a representative of the organization.
- Maintain a positive community profile and promote public awareness of Hope Blooms’ mission and serve as a spokesperson, when necessary.

- Experience in Microsoft Suite + Google Suite.
- Possesses a valid driver’s license and vehicle.
- Experience working in CRM software.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and strong time-management skills.
- Willingness to travel within the Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo communities and beyond for deliveries and pick-ups.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must pass a background check.
