Meet Hope Blooms board member, Bobby Aamold!
“We’re so grateful to have Bobby join our board! Bobby has been an excellent advocate for our mission since the first day we met him” said Kelly Krenzel, Hope Blooms founder. “He serves with heart, always raising his hand first to help drive our mission forward. He works directly with those we serve by regularly joining us at Petal It Forward deliveries and Flower Empower events. We’re excited to see how our mission continues to bloom with his support!”

How are you involved with Hope Blooms? As a new Board Member and Volunteer.
How did you first hear about Hope Blooms? My co-workers and I at First Interstate Bank had been volunteering at Down Home in Fargo. We enjoyed our experience with the Down Home team and asked if they could refer us to other smaller non-profits like themselves that they were somewhat connected to – Hope Blooms was on the list and our team at FIB reached out to Kelly.
Why do you choose to volunteer with Hope Blooms? Kelly, Katie, and the team bring so much energy and passion – it’s contagious – the mission of Hope Blooms is something that attracted me and just seeing the joy and appreciation from the people who receive the bouquets keeps me wanting to come back.
Why is giving back in your community important to you? It provides a sense of pride and accomplishment, it brings people together, it’s an investment in our community, and it just feels great!
In what ways do you see Hope Blooms bringing value to our community? In a lot of ways! I’ve seen it firsthand when I’ve been helping make deliveries to Senior Living Communities – the joy and happiness on the faces of the seniors when receiving bouquets, and how a bouquet can trigger the memories of certain individuals and take them back to great memories of their own from the past.
What’s your favorite way to spread joy and kindness? Volunteering my time and practicing random acts of kindness.
Name one of the most joyful moments in your life. My kids
What is your favorite flower and why? I guess I like them all!
Share a little about yourself & your family. I’m originally from Portland, ND and have lived in Fargo since 1999. I have a 24-year-old son Rylan and a 14-year-old daughter Bailey.
