Meet Deb Baker, Hope Blooms Joymaker!
Karina, Hope Blooms’ Volunteer Coordinator shares: “Deb is a dedicated volunteer at Hope Blooms. She gives through her time, her heart, and her hands—whether she’s processing flowers or delivering them with care—she brings beauty and kindness into everything she touches. We are so grateful for all that she does to support the mission!”
Volunteer since: January 2024
Tuesday morning processing, Petal it Forward deliveries and other deliveries, Meals on Wheels, sub flower pickup and other miscellaneous tasks.
*The mission – Repurposing flowers and sharing them with community members who may be lonely/isolated, facing a life challenge, or are deserving to be acknowledged that they matter!
*The staff members – ALL of these ladies are pure JOY! They are energetic, creative, friendly, and very welcoming. They also make volunteers feel appreciated.
*I am beyond blessed for the friendships I have made volunteering at HB. I look forward to Tuesdays when I get to be with my processing buddies! They are some of the kindest, funniest, and caring people I know! Deliveries are always enjoyable as well – to spend time with other HB volunteers/friends while sharing beautiful flowers, smiles, conversation, and encouragement with people in our area who are so appreciative – it truly makes their day brighter!
Hope Blooms brings so much to our community, I am grateful for the opportunity to volunteer at this wonderful organization that brings so much JOY to the recipients of the gorgeous flowers as well as the people who volunteer there!
Bringing joy to people who may need it with a simple gesture that may have a big impact for that person and businesses and organizations learning about the mission and volunteering their time to support their community.
Hard to choose – I love most. Roses (except to process ) – they are pure beauty, smell wonderful, and I find the symbolism of what the colors represent intriguing. Daisies are a close second, they remind me of happiness and sunshine!
