Volunteer Spotlight: Bev Pratt

August 14, 2025 | Written by

Meet Bev Pratt, Hope Blooms Joymaker!

Katie, Hope Blooms’ Program Coordinator, shares: “Bev is a dedicated Hope Blooms’ volunteer, helping us process flowers to be used in bouquets. We are so grateful for her dedication to Hope Blooms and sharing her beautiful smile and spirit with us!”

Volunteer since:

2022- Hope Blooms was in the old Stop and Go on 13th.

How do you spend your time with Hope Blooms?

I do processing on Thursday mornings.

What do you love most about Hope Blooms?
The mission, the people, the repurposing of flowers. My Scandinavian heritage really likes seeing something that may be thrown away being used in such a neat way.
What value do you see Hope Blooms bringing to our community?
I feel Hope Blooms fills a niche for people who may be under appreciated. A bouquet of flowers can’t help but bring a smile to someone’s day. I love being part of that process.
What is your favorite flower?

Today it is daisies (not the ones sprayed different colors). They seem so bright and clean and hopeful. Our first set of dishes had a beautiful sculpted daisy pattern around the edges. We don’t use those dishes anymore, but still haven’t been able to let them go!
