Meet Tanya Bale, Hope Blooms Volunteer
“Tanya brings energy, passion and joy everywhere she goes,” said Carly Pfennig, Hope Blooms communications coordinator. “She lights up the shop and every space she enters. We’re so grateful for the time, heart and kindness she shares with Hope Blooms!”
Volunteer since: Summer of 2024
I help process incoming flowers on Thursday morning, go to Flower Empower events where we help with building their own bouquet, go on Petal It Forward deliveries to the care facilities we serve and make bouquets in shop for those deliveries.
What do you love most about Hope Blooms?
It’s hard to really pick ONE thing I love because I really enjoy all areas of where I help out. For me, it’s getting to connect with all the people; from the ladies I process flowers with, to the ones I get to make bouquets with, to delivering to the residents and talking with them. It’s connection, caring and compassion.

What value do you see Hope Blooms bringing to our community?
I see the joy in peoples’ faces when we come in the facilities, from the workers to the residents. They all appreciate what we do.
What is your favorite flower?
The Dalia is one of my favorite flowers because there are sooo many varieties and I’m trying to grow my own now! I truly love creating bouquets with the variety of flowers we get donated!
Anything else you’d like to add?
When I retired, my daughter sent me the information on Hope Blooms and said, “I think you’d enjoy this, mom.” She was right!!!
