Bouquets of Hope: Supporting the Infertility Journey with Kindness
June 20, 2025 | Written by
During National Infertility Awareness Week, Hope Blooms delivered handcrafted bouquets to patients at Sanford Health and Essentia Health Reproductive Medicine. These blooms weren’t just flowers—they were messages of encouragement for individuals and couples navigating the quiet heartache of infertility.
Infertility affects 1 in 6 people globally according to the World Health Organization. For many, it’s an invisible struggle filled with waiting, uncertainty and grief. It can take a toll emotionally, mentally, physically and relationally—and often, there’s little external acknowledgment of the pain involved.
That’s why kindness matters so deeply.
One recipient shared:
“I received a Hope Blooms bouquet yesterday when I went for an appointment at the Sanford Reproductive Medicine Clinic. As my husband and I navigate our infertility journey, there are a lot of emotions and moments that don’t feel very hopeful. Thank you for spreading kindness, joy, beauty and most importantly reminders of hope. My bouquet is currently sitting in my kitchen window bringing a bit of sunshine and a reminder to remain hopeful the next couple of weeks as we wait to take a pregnancy test. What you are doing matters.”
Intentional acts of kindness—like delivering a bouquet—can change someone’s day.
The kind gesture reminds someone they’re not alone. That they’re seen. That they’re loved.
Hope is powerful. It doesn’t always erase the pain but it gives people something to hold onto when everything else feels uncertain.
How You Can Support Hope Blooms
At Hope Blooms, we believe small gestures can spark big hope. You can help bring kindness to those walking through hard seasons:
-
Donate: A gift of $10 delivers one bouquet and a reminder that someone cares.
-
Volunteer: Help repurpose flowers, create bouquets or deliver hope in person.
-
Spread the Word: Share our mission and stories to help raise awareness of our work.
Together, we can be a gentle light in someone’s dark moment. And sometimes, that light is all they need to keep going.
